Trade shows: Who's in, who should deliver
The trade fair season is slowly beginning. The regional trade fairs of all about automation will be the first. After that, the traditional and international trade fairs are scheduled. The German Health Minister Lauterbach continues to warn of Corona. Other countries, however, have ticked off the pandemic. Switzerland dissolves its expert council at the end of March and deactivates its Corona app.
Cobot companies favor automatica
The exhibitor lists of the Hannover Messe (30.05.-02.06.22), the Stuttgart LogiMAT running parallel and the Munich automatica (21.06-24.06.2022) were looked at. With one exception, it turns out, all robotics companies will be on display in Munich. As robotics companies here only those are grasped, which offer robot arms, thus no grippers or AMR. Mobile robots, on the other hand, are very strongly represented at LogiMAT. It should also be noted that companies such as Omron or igus have a very broad product range. Their listing as exhibitors does not necessarily mean that they are showing robotics.

Who supplies what?
Some of the listed companies have already presented their novelties recently or in a period of time that their cobots are still considered new. F&P Robotics, Fanuc, Neura Robotics, Comau or ABB are to be mentioned here. Isochronic is still presented here. Manufacturers such as Universal Robots, Omron/Techman or Franka Emika would not be surprised by minor modifications, as their current models have been on the market for some time. Rethink Robotics and Agile Robots are likely to receive special attention. Both companies can be described as heavyweights, at least in terms of expectations. KUKA is also under special "observation". Are cobots still considered interesting in Augsburg?
Not only overseas exhibitors are missing
Conspicuously absent - unless I missed them - are well-known cobot manufacturers from China(ELITE ROBOT, Dobot, Jaka) and from South Korea(Neuromeka, Rainbow Robotics, Hanwha). From the USA I miss Flexiv and Productive Robotics. From Germany, I would have expected Coboworx to participate. Robco will be on partner booths and is therefore not listed individually as an exhibitor. Yuanda was still listed at automatica in January, now no longer.
Fanuc is already active
Shortly after the presentation of the three new CRX models and the statement of wanting to become the market leader in cobots in Europe, Fanuc has launched the new format "FANUC Talk":
At automatica, the largest booth of a pure cobot manufacturer that I know of is larger by a factor of 10 than the smallest booth of a cobot manufacturer.
