ABB kündigt neue Cobots an
Nachtrag (04.02.21): Soeben hat ABB für den 24.02. die “signifikante” Erweiterung des Cobot-Portfolios angekündigt.
Den Übergang der ABB Gomtec GmbH (Giliching beim München) in die ABB Automation GmbH wurde von mir zum Anlaß genommen, bei ABB nachzufragen, was dies denn für die Cobot-Sparte bedeuten würde. Zur Erinnerung: ABB hatte das Startup Gomtec GmbH 2014 übernommen. Gomtec beschäftigte zum Zeitpunkt der Übernahme 60 Mitarbeiter und hatte mit der Roberta-Reihe eine Cobot-Familie vorgestellt, deren vier Modelle bei einem Verkaufspreis von rund 30.000 € eine Traglast zwischen 4 und 12 kg aufwies und heute noch unverändert wettbewerbsfähig wäre, würde sie denn noch angeboten (Video unten). Stattdessen wurde sie vom Markt genommen und der in China entwickelte Yumi forciert. Der Standort Gilching wird unverändert, so ABB, als dezidierter Inkubator unterhalten, (Zitat) “in dem ein schlagkräftiges und interdisziplinäres Expertenteam an neuen Cobot- und MRK-Innovationen forscht und diese entwickelt. Dabei steht neben dem flexiblen Einsatz von Lösungen deren einfache Installation und Nutzung im Fokus. Demnächst werden wir unser Portfolio an kollaborativen Roboterlösungen sogar noch weiter ausbauen.”
Parallel zur Übernahme der Gomtech GmbH durch ABB übernahm seinerzeit Kuka den Integrator Faude Automatisierungstechnik GmbH. Seit heute (1. Januar 2021) gibt es das Unternehmen nicht mehr. Alle Aktivitäten wurden von Kuka übernommen.

He advises robotics companies on market/ business development and financing issues (especially in bank meetings he can score points as a "neutral" third party due to his market knowledge). He is also available to potential users for a walk-through of your production/manufacturing or by phone based on photos/descriptions at a fixed price(detail) to then make concrete proposals for the use of cobots and other robots incl. funding opportunities. Both SMEs and large companies are visited. Among other things in Bavaria a 50% investment promotion is conceivable. The standard book about cobots also comes from him. In addition, he is very familiar with the KfW-Corona programs (incl. exemptions).
