Cobot planner - free of charge from the employers' liability insurance association

Occupational Safety First

Occupational safety is known to be a delicate field. It is monitored by the employers' liability insurance associations. Now there is a serious relief: The Fraunhofer IFF has developed a web-based planning aid on behalf of the German Employer's Liability Insurance Association for Wood and Metal (BGHM). With it, users can improve occupational safety and use the cobot efficiently. The Cobot Planner is available here free of charge. Thanks to the input of relevant parameters, it can basically be used for any robot.

Cobot planner can avoid unnecessary setup for measurement

The Fraunhofer IFF emphasizes the benefits accordingly: "Until now, it was only possible to determine the maximum speeds at which the robot (...) complies with ISO/TS 15066 for collaborative robots with the aid of a metrological risk assessment. For the measurement, however, the robot system must have been completely built and programmed. (...) The Cobot Planner eliminates this shortcoming (...) already in the planning phase. In just three steps, you describe your individual collision risk. The Cobot Planner then determines the maximum permissible speeds from your input. "
