First German franchise system with robot

Barista robots have already been presented on the blog. As is well known, cobots can also mix cocktails or serve beer. So far, however, these solutions have been a bit "far away.

Now the Karlsruhe-based startup MyAppCafé is offering the opportunity to sell café to go itself in a franchise system using a robot. The relevant service for the customer is the app "My App Cafe". With its help, the desired café can be selected from 650 blends and paid for:

It should be possible to prepare 80 to 120 coffees per hour.

The industrial partner is coffee machine manufacturer WMF. It is remarkable that the founders of the startup have already passed the age limit of 60. The solution seems predestined for places with high frequency, such as train stations, airports, shopping mails or trade fairs. In times of Corona, there are two additional aspects: there is no interaction with an attendant, and there is no need to wait in front of the store (e.g. in the rain) until you are allowed to enter. Independently of Corona, the space requirement and thus the rental expense is conceivably low at 9 square meters.
