evotron: Measuring attachment for the robot

A few months ago, a complete measuring cell was presented here(link). Now evotron from Thuringia has presented an interesting measuring attachment for robots with integrated ring light. The industrial robot/cobot thus becomes a universal measuring or inspection machine.

Robot Image Capture Tool

With a net weight of 470 g, the tool has a CMOS sensor from Sony. The lighting controller is triggered synchronously via the path control of the robot. With LED flashes of up to 1 μs, sharp images are captured even during fast movements. The LED ring illumination is divided into four 90° sectors that can be triggered separately by the illumination controller. This allows even difficult lighting scenes to be optimally illuminated, according to evotron. All evotron ring lights can be used. The ISO 9409-1 standardized connection plate of the RCAM module enables simple and reliable mechanical attachment to all standardized robot arms.
