Case study: Tape bonding with Cobot

The use of a cobot for liquid bonding ("dispensing") is discussed quite frequently, but the use of adhesive tapes is less common. How plasters made of carbon can be laid has already been shown here(link). Classic rolls of adhesive tape can, of course, also be automated with the help of a cobot. The Universal Robots integrator Glaub from Salzgitter shows in one of his numerous videos how it works.

Conclusion: It's easy (once again) with the right fixture. The exact bonding works without the use of a monitoring camera, which makes the solution cheaper. Also conceivable: The cobot is only used sporadically for gluing, the rest of the time it does other things. The changeover time appears to be short.
