Franka Emika: New managing directors

On July 05 it was announced that Helmut Schmid, lan years CEO of Universal Robots is the new managing director of Frank Emika.

Apparently quite discreetly there were already important personnel changes at Franka Emika at the end of April. At least I did not notice anything and also Google-News does not contain any information about this: According to the Federal Gazette, long-time managing directors Simon Haddadin and Philipp Zimmermann stepped down as managing directors on April 30, 2021. Newly appointed was Patrick Pfaff. The imprint of the Franka website still names Dirk Engelmann as managing director.

We can only speculate about the reasons for the change in management. The wait for the second, larger model alongside the Panda remains as eager as ever.

However, the shareholder structure has not changed. This means that Haddadin Beteiligungs UG (haftungsbechränkt) remains the largest shareholder with 44.02%.
