Annual figures Universal Robots 2019

It's time for a review of the year at the market leader, which has sold around 42,000 cobots since the beginning of its existence until the end of 2019 - the annual report is available.
Within the parent company, UR is combined with MIR and two other companies to form the Industrial Automation division. This suffered a loss of $5.9 million after a profit of €7.7 million. The deterioration in earnings of €13.6 million can be explained by depreciation and increased marketing expenses, but ultimately I think it shows that UR has not yet reached critical mass. In full-year 2019, Universal Robots' revenue growth was weak at just 6%. The economy(link to Germany) may have contributed to this, but certainly also the increasing competition. At least the stagantion that existed in Q3 was ended. In Q4, sales increased by 2.4% - in Q 1, the increase was still 15%. It should be borne in mind that UR has been offering a fourth model, the UR 16e, since the fourth quarter - quarterly sales are therefore spread over more models than before.
The growth of the sister company MIR has weakened - in a comparison of the respective quarters.
The decisive question will be how the parent company Teradyne reacts to any slump in demand as a result of Corona. In the past, Teradyne has pursued a remarkably consistent, long-term growth strategy, most recently visible in the new Cobot hub.
