Universal Robots: Another departure - this time Jürgen von Hollen

As reported by Automation Practice, Jürgen von Hollen, the current president of Universal Robots, will now also leave the company on December 31, 2020. The departure comes as a surprise to parent company Teradyne, which is why the new president of the Industrial Automation division is taking over as president of Universal Robots for the time being. Apparently, von Hollen does not have a new job yet. For his part, Jürgen von Hollen only took over as CEO of the German subsidiary in the summer in addition to his post as global head of Universal Robots. As shown quarterly in this space, the growth momentum of the Cobot world market leader had already slowed sharply before the pandemic. As a result of the pandemic, there were sharp declines in sales, particularly in Europe.

The video is 18 months old, so it's from better days:

The author of this blog is significantly involved in the AI/robotics project Boost-Bot project. He advises robotics companies on market/ business development and financing issues (especially in bank meetings he can score points as a "neutral" third party due to his market knowledge). He is also available to potential users for a walk-through of your production/manufacturing or by phone based on photos/descriptions at a fixed price(detail) to then make concrete proposals for the use of cobots and other robots incl. funding opportunities. Both SMEs and large companies are visited. Among other things in Bavaria a 50% investment promotion is conceivable. The standard book about cobots also comes from him. In addition, he is very familiar with the KfW-Corona programs (incl. exemptions).
