Further market forecast

A new forecast sees the cobot market growing at an average annual rate of nearly 50% over the period 2018-2026. As a result of this extreme increase, global human-robot collaboration (HRC) revenue is expected to rise from US$730 million to US$18.5 billion.

The study is available for purchase and should cost a few $1,000 US.

But: These figures can quickly prove to be unfeasible if the required skilled personnel are not available. As easy as cobots are increasingly to program, the selection of accessories, the consideration of occupational safety still demands know-how. (Though workplace safety is unlikely to be primary in some major markets).

Incidentally, the increase in sales of the equipment manufacturer ABB had already been strongly influenced by the positive impact of (industrial) robotics. ABB maintains its own robot production and development in China.
