Assembly of a machining center and more

Surveys show that cobots are used particularly frequently in the areas of packaging, welding and machine placement. The latter area in particular can be very extensive if upstream and downstream activities are included. In view of the programming effort involved, the question arises as to whether everything should really be automated. This is because partial automation often pays off more than complete automation (especially in the case of more flexible production).

No matter, the video shows what is possible: The goods are moved back and forth by mobile robots, measured, removed and inserted into the machine, which is then operated by the MRK. To ensure that the human operator does not lose the overview here, he can use the graphical cockpit and thus maintain the overview. However, the solution shown here quickly costs a high 5-digit sum. On the other hand, the machines often run in 3- or 4-shift operation, so the savings here can be particularly large.

In the next video - again a cobot and mobile robot from Omron - a human (generously) comes into play at the end to assemble the individual parts:

The next step would then be to correct the manufacturing process using AI and intelligent algorithms. This is being done as part of the Opdra project, which has already been mentioned here several times.

The author of this blog is available for market research or even a walk through your production/manufacturing at a fixed price(detail), and then make specific proposals for the use of cobots and other robots incl. funding opportunities. Both SMEs and large companies are visited. Among other things in Bavaria a 50% investment promotion is conceivable. The standard book on cobots also comes from him.
