Intralogistics: Case study 5 MIR at TTI (Munich)

TTI is the world market leader in the distribution of electromechanical and passive components. Due to digitalization in recent years, the demand for these components has increased enormously. Therefore, it was essential for the company to constantly optimize its logistics in order to meet the growing market demands. For TTI, the best solution to achieve this goal is the use of driverless robots.

TTI relies on driverless systems from Mobile Industrial Robots (including the larger vehicles from Global AGV, which merged with MIR). Three L-14 driverless systems ensure that full bins are quickly removed from the goods receiving area. In addition, empty pallets are regularly picked up by the Palomat pallet storage system and taken to the goods issue area.

A new addition is the MiR250 stacker crane. A total of 5 robots independently transport individually manufactured rolling racks to their next destination. With the real-time analysis dashboard Waku Sense, the reliability and utilization of the various robot systems can be recorded and evaluated at a central point.

Michaela FritzDirector Business Solution at TTI, Inc., summarizes: "With the driverless robot systems from Jugard and Künstner, we have enormously increased efficiency in our distribution center and optimally prepared the entire warehouse for the digital future."

The investment in - compared to automated guided vehicles - more expensive AMR has obviously paid off.

In my own business/ advertising
The author of this blog answers companies the question if and how a robot could be used in your company (initial analysis including recommendation). This in the greater areas of Trier and Lüneburg as well as Eastern Germany without Leipzig/ Berlin for 700 € net, in the rest of Germany for an all-inclusive price of 1,750 € net (incl. travel). The low price is possible thanks to promotion. Permanently looking for interesting solutions, he has already seen hundreds of applications. For this reason, his customers also include large companies that have know-how but do not know the entire market. For companies with 250 employees or more or those based in Austria or Switzerland, the flat rate does not apply. You can find more about him here.
