Food refinement by means of Scara robot

Food must not only taste good, but also look good. Potatoes can be peeled in machines, but sometimes a piece of skin remains on the potato. This does not look good and instead of manually re-filing, a Scara robot can be used. In the video, this is one from Denso. It could lift up to 8 kg, but that is not what matters here. Of more interest here is its low cycle time of 0.3 seconds and the available accessories. Of note here is the visual inspection of the peeled potato and the ability to scrape off the remaining skin. Of course, of importance is the blue rolling belt that turns the potatoes. By the way, Denso has one of the interesting small robots(link):

Although the blog is actually dedicated to human-robot collaboration, other robot types are also presented or recommended from time to time. In a specific case, the use of a Scara robot makes much more sense than that of a slower and more expensive cobot. The latter simply has other advantages.
