Nikon seeks its salvation in robotics

Those who, like the author, are not quite as fresh as they used to be, can still remember the numerous camera manufacturers that used to exist. Pentax, Contax, Yashica, Olympus, Minolta and many more are long gone. What remains are a few brands like Canon, Leica or Nikon that have made the leap into digitalization. Now they have to compete not only with newcomers like Panasonic and Sony, but above all with the constantly improving cell phone cameras. So it's no wonder that Nikon wants to improve its weak balance sheet with new target groups. A consultant would look at which target group offers particular potential.
