South Korea: Neuromeka with greatly expanded product range

Similar to Germany, South Korea has some younger robotics companies or divisions. In addition to Doosan, Hyundai and Hanwha, which belong to corporations, Rainbow Robotics and Neuromeka are worth mentioning. Neuromeka can even be said to have ambitions of global market leadership. The affinity for robotics is not surprising, since South Korea traditionally has the highest robot density in the world for a country with a large surface area. There are around 900 robots for every 10,000 jobs. Here, the figure is less than 400.

Now with a wider product range

A new video, recorded at the largest South Korean automation trade fair, shows how far Neuromeka has come in the meantime. This applies both technologically incl. purchased sensor technology (including Sick) as well as in the area of robot arms including integrated vision. Whereas in the past only smaller cobots were offered, there is now also one with a payload of 12 kg and, from 2023, smaller classic industrial robots with collaborative safety at IP 67. In addition, mobile and delta robots are offered.

Still local-regional market

The domestic market is large, so the company seems to be focusing on South Korea and China at the moment. Internationally, the company is only represented in California. It should only be a matter of time before Europe is targeted as well. In an effort to capture as much as possible, Robot as a Service is now apparently being targeted.

With only $45 million raised so far, much has been developed, as the video shows:
